These prayers against spiritual husband and spiritual spouse are written for women, and men, who sense that something spiritual has been troubling their sleep, relationships or marriage. Each section pairs a King James Version scripture with prayer points you can pray aloud tonight, followed by a simple seven-day plan.
Pray from a place of faith, not fear. You are not begging a stranger; you are speaking to a Father who loves you, in the name of a Saviour who has already won. These prayers are devotional guidance and do not promise a particular result or timeline. Alongside them, please look after your body and mind and lean on trusted people.

Before You Pray
- Find a quiet time. Many believers pray late at night or very early in the morning.
- Have your Bible open to the verses below. See our full list of Bible verses about spiritual husband.
- Pray aloud. Speaking Scripture strengthens faith (Romans 10:17).
- Be specific. General prayers are good; naming what you are renouncing is better.
- Don’t pray alone forever. Ask a prayer partner or your fellowship to stand with you.
- Look after yourself. If you choose to fast, do so safely and skip fasting if you are pregnant, diabetic or on medication without medical advice.
1. Prayers of Thanksgiving and Surrender
Scripture: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4).
- Father, I thank You for loving me, choosing me and calling me Your own.
- Lord Jesus, I surrender my life, my body, my dreams and my future marriage into Your hands.
- Holy Spirit, fill me afresh and lead me as I pray.
2. Prayers of Repentance
Scripture: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
- Lord, I confess every sin that may have opened a door in my life, known or unknown. Forgive me and cleanse me by Your blood.
- I repent of any sexual sin, occult involvement or vow spoken in pain. I receive Your forgiveness now.
- I release every person who has hurt me, and I ask You to heal the wounds they left.
3. Prayers Renouncing Covenants and Dedications
Scripture: “And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand” (Isaiah 28:18).
- In the name of Jesus, I renounce every covenant, dedication or marriage with any spirit, made by me or on my behalf.
- I renounce every family dedication to rivers, shrines or deities, and I declare that my family line is covered by the blood of Jesus.
- By Colossians 2:14, I declare every handwriting against my marriage and destiny blotted out and nailed to the cross.
- Every ring, wedding or agreement made in the dream with any spirit, I reject and cancel it in Jesus’ name.
4. Prayers Breaking Soul Ties
Scripture: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
- Lord, I break every ungodly soul tie with past relationships, in Jesus’ name.
- I give back every part of others I have held onto, and I receive back every part of my heart that I gave away outside Your will.
- Heal my emotions and restore my capacity to love and be loved in a godly way.

5. Prayers of Authority Against a Spiritual Husband or Wife
Scripture: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19).
- In the name of Jesus, I take authority over every spiritual husband or spiritual wife claiming my life. You have no legal right here. Leave now.
- I declare that my body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19). Nothing unclean may touch it.
- I submit myself to God; I resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4:7).
- Every power delaying or destroying my relationships, I bind you and command you to stop, in Jesus’ name.
6. Prayers for Peaceful Sleep and Dreams
Scripture: “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet” (Proverbs 3:24).
- Lord, I dedicate my bedroom and my bed to You. Let Your peace fill this room.
- I cover my sleep and my dreams with the blood of Jesus. Let only what is from You come to me in the night.
- Father, give me sweet sleep and wake me refreshed, as You promised in Psalm 4:8.

7. Prayers for Marriage and Relationships
Scripture: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten” (Joel 2:25).
- For single women: Lord, restore every opportunity and relationship lost to delay. Lead me to the partner You have prepared, in Your perfect time, and help me recognise him.
- For married women: Father, heal my marriage. Remove every barrier between my husband and me, restore love, tenderness and closeness, and let our home honour You.
- For mothers: Lord, I stand for my daughter. Let every pattern I faced end with me, and let her walk in freedom and joy.
8. Prayers of Sealing and Thanksgiving
Scripture: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36).
- Holy Spirit, fill every space in my life so that nothing unclean can return (Matthew 12:43–45).
- I seal my freedom with the blood of Jesus and the Word of God.
- Thank You, Father, for hearing me. I trust You with the results. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Keep a short journal through the week. After day 7, continue with a few prayer points and a Psalm each night.
When to Seek Extra Help
Please don’t carry this alone. Talk to a trusted pastor, and see a doctor if you have ongoing sleep problems or wake unable to move (sleep paralysis is common and treatable). If you feel hopeless, deeply anxious or have thoughts of harming yourself, contact a mental-health professional or emergency services immediately. If abuse or trauma is part of your story, a trained counsellor can help. Be wary of anyone who charges large fees, asks you to harm yourself, or promises guaranteed results.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time to pray against a spiritual husband?
Many believers pray around midnight or early morning, but God hears you at any hour. Consistency matters more than the clock.
How long should I pray these prayers?
A common pattern is seven consecutive days, then continuing with shorter nightly prayers. Freedom is often a journey rather than a single session.
Can I pray these prayers for my daughter or my wife?
Yes. Intercession is biblical. Adapt the wording (“I stand for my daughter…”) and, where possible, encourage her to pray too.
Do I need anointing oil or a deliverance minister?
Neither is required for God to hear you. Some believers use anointing oil as a symbol of consecration, and a sound, trusted minister can be a great support, but your authority comes from Jesus.
What if the dreams continue after I pray?
Keep praying, stay in the Word and in fellowship, and speak to your pastor. Also see a doctor to rule out sleep or health causes. Persistence, not perfection, is the path many women describe.
Conclusion
These prayers against spiritual husband and spiritual spouse are a starting place, not a formula. The power is not in the words but in the One you are praying to. Keep praying, keep reading Scripture, and keep walking with others. Learn more in 10 Signs of a Spiritual Husband and What Is a Spiritual Spouse?, browse more prayer articles, or visit Start Here.
